UC Davis Medical Center Exits along U.S. Highway 50 Scheduled to be Closed in Sacramento County

Sacramento County — The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is scheduled to close the off-ramps to the UC Davis Medical Center. (The eastbound and westbound off-ramps from U.S. Highway 50 to the medical facility will not be closed at the same time.)

A contractor is scheduled to close the off-ramp from westbound US-50 to Stockton Boulevard (Exit 7 – UC Davis Medical Center Exit) from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday through Saturday for utility work, survey work and core drilling. Emergency responders will be able to use the off-ramp Monday through Wednesday but the off-ramp is scheduled to be closed to all vehicles Thursday and Friday.

Suggested Alternate Route:

  • From westbound US-50 take the 16st Street off-ramp (Exit 5). Continue on W Street; turn left on 15th Street then turn left on X Street back onto eastbound US-50 and use the 34th Street off-ramp (Exit 7 – UC Davis Medical Center Exit). (The eastbound off-ramp from US-50 to 34th Street will remain open throughout the duration of the closure.)

 

The contractor is also scheduled to close the off-ramp from eastbound US-50 to 34th Street (Exit 7 – UC Davis Medical Center Exit) from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Wednesday through Saturday for survey work. Emergency responders will be able to use the off-ramp. All other vehicles please consider using the suggested alternate route.

 

Suggested Alternate Route:

  • From eastbound US-50 take the 65st Street off-ramp (Exit 8B). Turn left (northbound) onto 65th Street; stay to the right side to turn back onto westbound US-50 and use the off-ramp to Stockton Boulevard (Exit 6C). (The westbound off-ramp from US-50 to Stockton Boulevard will remain open throughout the duration of the closure.)

 

The contractor is scheduled to close the following lanes and ramps along US-50:

  • Westbound motorists expect the Stockton Boulevard on-ramp closed from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday for survey work. (The on-ramp will be open to emergency vehicles.)

     

  • Eastbound motorists expect the Stockton Boulevard on-ramp closed from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday through Wednesday for survey work and core drilling. (The on-ramp will be closed to emergency vehicles Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.)

     

  • Eastbound motorists expect the #4 (right) lane, right shoulder and auxiliary lane closed on US-50 from Stockton Boulevard to 65th Street Undercrossing from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday through Wednesday for survey work and core drilling.

     

  • Eastbound motorists expect the #1 (left) lane, left shoulder and median closed on US-50 from 39th Street Undercrossing to 48th Street Overcrossing from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday for utility work and core drilling.

     

  • Eastbound motorists expect the #4 (right) lane, right shoulder and auxiliary lane closed on US-50 from 48th Street Overcrossing to Stockton Boulevard from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday through Saturday for utility work and core drilling.

     

  • Westbound motorists expect the #4 (right) lane, right shoulder and auxiliary lane closed on US-50 from 48th Street Overcrossing to 65th Street Overcrossing beginning 9:00 p.m. Monday until 6:00 a.m. Tuesday for survey work.

     

  • Eastbound motorists expect the 59th Street off-ramp closed beginning 9:00 p.m. Monday until 6:00 a.m. Tuesday for survey work. (The off-ramp will be open to emergency vehicles.)

     

  • Westbound motorists expect the 59th Street on-ramp closed from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday for survey work. (The on-ramp will be open to emergency vehicles.)

     

  • Eastbound motorists expect the #4 (right) lane, right shoulder and auxiliary lane closed on US-50 from 26th Street Undercrossing to Stockton Boulevard from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Wednesday through Saturday for survey work.

     

  • Eastbound motorists expect the X Street on-ramp closed from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Wednesday through Friday, and beginning 9:00 p.m. Friday until 8:00 a.m. Saturday for survey work. (The on-ramp will be open to emergency vehicles.)

     

  • Eastbound motorists expect the southbound 65th Street loop on-ramp closed beginning 9:00 p.m. Monday until 6:00 a.m. Tuesday for survey work. (The on-ramp will be open to emergency vehicles.)

     

  • Westbound motorists expect the northbound 65th Street loop on-ramp closed from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday for survey work. (The on-ramp will be open to emergency vehicles.)

     

  • Eastbound motorists expect the 65th Street Undercrossing off-ramp closed from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday through Friday for survey work and core drilling. (Emergency responders will be able to use the off-ramp Monday through Wednesday but the off-ramp is scheduled to be closed to all vehicles Thursday and Friday.)

     

  • Westbound motorists expect the 65th Street Undercrossing on-ramp closed from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday for survey work. (The on-ramp will be open to emergency vehicles.)

     

  • Westbound motorists expect the #4 (right) lane, right shoulder and auxiliary lane closed on US-50 from 65th Street Undercrossing to Stockton Boulevard from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday for survey work.

     

  • Motorists expect the #1 (left) lane on US-50 at Hornet Drive Undercrossing closed (on local cross-street) from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday for utility work.

     

  • Eastbound motorists expect the on and off-ramps at State Route 16 Separation/ Howe Avenue closed from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday through Saturday for utility work and core drilling.

 

Work is scheduled to begin as listed but subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/ or materials, and construction related issues.
