FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SUTTER COUNTY — Construction crews are scheduled to start overnight roadwork  Sunday, August 2 on three-mile segment of State Highway 99 in Yuba City.

North- and southbound motorists may expect lane and shoulder restrictions at various locations between Smith Road and the State Highway 20 junction from 7 p.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday through Thursday weekly until early September. Motorists also could expect intermittent closures of local cross streets for construction activity. However, no two consecutive cross streets will be closed at one time.

Crews will be doing pavement grinding, paving, striping and shoulder work on this $2.6 million project. DeSilva Gates Construction is the contractor.

Weather or unexpected events may delay or prolong the work. Caltrans advises motorists to “Be Work Zone Alert.” The department will issue construction updates on Twitter @CaltransDist3 and on Facebook at CaltransDistrict3.
