FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sacramento County — The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is scheduled to close the connector ramp from southbound State Route 99 to northbound Interstate 5 Junction, and the #2 (right) lane on northbound I-5 from the SR-99 connector ramp to Powerline Road for paving.

The closures are scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 25. Please note, the closures are near the Sacramento International Airport so please plan accordingly.

The closures are necessary for the safety of motorists and workers. Caltrans advices motorists to use an alternate route and “Be Work Zone Alert” – someone’s loved one is at work.

Work is scheduled to begin as listed but subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/ or materials, and construction related issues.

Check out the Caltrans “QuickMap” for current road conditions or download the free QuickMap app on the App Store or Google Play. Motorists also can call the California Highway Information Network automated phone service at 1-800-427-ROAD (7623).
