FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ROSEVILLE – Caltrans is advising motorists that maintenance crews are scheduled to repair damaged pavement on the southbound State Highway 65 connector to eastbound Interstate 80 (I-80) and on a section of eastbound I-80.

Work to fix potholes and cracking will take place on the 65 connector beginning Monday, March 2 through Friday, March 6, nightly from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. The ramp will be closed at this time and the detour for the closure will be to take westbound 80 to Eureka Street and back onto eastbound 80 (see map below).

If the repairs on the ramp are completed early, work is scheduled to begin on a roughly three-quarter mile section of the #4 lane on eastbound Interstate 80 in the same vicinity during the same 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. schedule. If repairs are needed beyond March 6, Caltrans will issue an updated advisory.

The California Highway Patrol will be stationed in the work zone to ensure the safety of Caltrans workers on the roadway. Motorists are reminded to be “Work Zone Alert” and are advised that the speed limit in the work zone will be reduced to 55 mph for the safety of all travelers and highway workers.
