FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WEST SACRAMENTO – Caltrans is hosting an open house informational meeting on February 27 where the public can provide comments about the Yolo 80 Corridor Improvement project. Key improvements to Interstate 80 from Kidwell Road just west of Davis to West El Camino Avenue, including U.S. Highway 50 to the Interstate 5 Interchange in Sacramento are proposed.

Caltrans is planning these improvements in response to increasing travel need along I-80 that has created severe traffic congestion and impaired mobility along the route. The project’s primary goals are to improve traffic flow, increase safety, improve travel time reliability and reduce vehicle emissions.

The community open house encourages stakeholders and community members to comment on the proposed project plan. Community members can review the overall project and Caltrans staff will be available to answer questions. Since this project is still in its early stages, all feedback received will help shape the development and design of the different improvements proposed for I-80.

Open house schedule:

  • WEST SACRAMENTO – Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. West Sacramento City Hall, Galleria Room, 1110 West Capitol Avenue 95691
