FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Davis - Caltrans is hosting a community open house on November 21, 2019 to inform the public about a Yolo County Interstate 80 project with key improvements to I-80 from Kidwell Road just west of Davis to West El Camino Avenue, including U.S. Highway 50 to the Interstate 5 Interchange in Sacramento.

In addition to highway improvements, pedestrian and bicycle facilities will be improved. Caltrans is planning these improvements in response to increasing travel demand along I-80 that has created severe traffic congestion and impaired mobility along the route. The project’s primary goals are to improve traffic flow, increase safety, improve travel time reliability and reduce vehicle emissions.

The community open house encourages input from stakeholders and community members in the early phases of the project. Community members can learn more about the project and share their preferences and concerns with the project team. Caltrans staff will be available to answer questions and collect feedback. Since this project is still in its early stages, all feedback received will help shape the development and design of the different improvements proposed for I-80.

Open house schedule:

  • Davis - Thursday, November 21 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Mary L. Stephens Davis Library: Blanchard Room, 315 E 14th Street, Davis, CA 95616
