FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BUTTE COUNTY — Motorists can expect around-the-clock one-way traffic control over the next week on a two-mile segment of Neal Road in Butte County for major pavement work.

The traffic control is scheduled to start around 7 a.m. Tuesday and continue for about a week on the roadway about five miles east of State Highway 99. After that time, motorists can expect intermittent weekday one-way traffic control for another five to six weeks.

A contractor, Knife River Construction of Chico, is rebuilding a two-mile section of Neal Road south of Paradise as part of Camp Fire-related emergency work.

Weather or unexpected events may delay or prolong the work. Caltrans advises motorists to “Be Work Zone Alert.” The department will issue construction updates on Twitter @CaltransDist3 and on Facebook at CaltransDistrict3.
