Nevada County – Caltrans is continuing a crack sealing operation in Nevada County on State Routes 20 and 49 between Grass Valley and Nevada City. Intermittent lane and ramp closures are anticipated for the duration of the project.
Since June 20 Caltrans maintenance crews have been crack sealing portions of State Routes 20 and 49 to extend the life of highway asphalt and prevent erosion. Work has been occurring intermittently between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays and completion is anticipated the week of August 19.
In anticipation of the Nevada County Fair, crack sealing operations will not occur August 7-11 to allow better traffic flow and tourism for the fair.

Weather or unexpected events may delay or prolong the work.
