Montague CAPM Project on State Route 3 in Siskiyou County
The Project:
The Montague CAPM paving project is in Siskiyou County along State Route 3, beginning east of Yreka then through the City of Montague to the east side of the city limits.
Project Benefits:
The purpose of the project is to restore the pavement to a state of good repair that will require minimal maintenance. Biking and pedestrian enhancements include shoulder widening, two new Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant bus stops, replacement of portions of existing sidewalks with ADA compliant sidewalks, and upgrading of existing curb ramps to ADA compliant ramps.
Project Includes:
The project includes 3.2 miles of pavement rehabilitation of State Route 3 through the City of Montague including permitted road connections up to the existing state highway. Other work includes drainage and traffic marking improvements, guardrail replacement, new vehicle detection systems and biking and pedestrian improvements within the city limits
Current Project Schedule:
It is estimated this project will take 120 workings days, with some days requiring traffic control. Construction is scheduled to start in 2026.
