Mad River Preservation Project on State Route 36 in Trinity County

The Project:

The Mad River Preservation project will place an asphalt rubber chip seal with areas of concrete dig outs on SR 36 near Mad River, from the Humboldt/Trinity County Line to 4.1 miles east of South Fork Mountain Road.

Project Includes:

Placement of asphalt rubber chip seal with isolated areas of concrete dig outs in the project area, along with fog sealing of paved shoulders and striping.

Current Project Schedule:

There are an estimated 25 working days for the project, all of which will require traffic control.  Construction is anticipated for 2026.
