REDDING – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans District 2) and Lamassu Utility Services, Inc. are preparing to begin work on the Sugar Pine Culverts Project on State Route 299 in Shasta County. The $350k project will provide new linings to three existing culverts near Ingot, from just east of Seamans Gulch Road to approximately 0.5 mile east of Seamans Gulch Road.
Construction activities are currently planned to start on Monday, September 23rd. Motorists will encounter one-way traffic control with up to 5-minute delays, Mondays through Fridays between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily. Motorists are urged to slow down and drive carefully in and around construction areas, follow speed limit reductions in place, and allot extra time for delays. The project is currently anticipated to be completed by mid-October.
