Overnight Construction to Begin on Pacific Coast Highway (SR-1) in Newport Beach on August 12

ORANGE COUNTY –The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is scheduled to begin a pavement rehabilitation project on State Route 1 (SR-1, Pacific Coast Highway) in Newport Beach starting Monday, August 12 through mid-October. The project limits include northbound and southbound SR-1 between Jamboree Road and the northern Newport Beach city limit (Santa Ana River). Work is expected to be conducted overnight weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Please note there may be loud noise due to construction.

 

Please obey all posted signs and traffic instructions for the safety of all workers and motorists. Electronic changeable messages signs will notify drivers of the closures. The work schedule is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials, and/or construction-related issues.
