Caltrans District 11 is committed to utilizing small businesses, whether they be certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE), Small Business Public Works (SB-PW), Micro Business (MB), or Small Business (SB). Senate Bill 103, which was approved by the Governor in July of 2017 required Caltrans to develop an outreach plan by January 2020 to increase, by up to 100%, the dollar value of contracts awarded to small businesses, disadvantaged business enterprises, and disabled veteran business enterprises.

As part of District 11’s increased outreach, we are holding, Doing Business with Caltrans District 11 workshops in 2020. These workshops will be smaller in size, in order to customize the workshop for the specific attendees and increase the opportunities for individual assistance. Local and Small Business Council Meetings

What is it?

A Council for the San Diego/Imperial Region that was established to promote the effective implementation of federal and state requirements and assist with issues relating to participation in Caltrans projects.

Where are meetings held?

District 11 office - 4050 Taylor Street, San Diego 92110; meetings may be conducted virtually.

Who attends?

The Council will be comprised of individuals from business trade associations, Caltrans, construction industry representatives, public agency partners, and other businesses on an as needed basis. Meetings are open to the public to attend.

Meetings are held Every 4th Wednesday of every other month in 2020: June 24th ● August 26th ● October 28th
