SAN DIEGO — Caltrans will close portions of the State Route 56 (SR-56) / Interstate 15 (I-15) interchange overnight for striping operations on November 1, 2, and 5, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Sunday Night, November 1 | 9 p.m.- 5 a.m.
- Closed: Southbound I-15 connector to eastbound SR-56 and Ted Williams Parkway.
Motorists may continue south on I-15 and exit at Rancho Peñasquitos Boulevard / Poway Road. Turn left onto Poway Road. Continue to the northbound I-15 on-ramp. Take northbound I-15 to the SR-56/Ted Williams Parkway connector.
- Closed: Eastbound SR-56 connector to southbound I-15.
Motorists may continue east on Ted Williams Parkway. Turn right onto Sabre Springs Parkway. Continue to Poway Road and turn left. Continue to the southbound I-15 on-ramp.
- Closed: Westbound Ted Williams Parkway/SR-56 connector to southbound I-15.
Motorists may continue west on SR-56. Exit at Rancho Peñasquitos Boulevard. South on Rancho Peñasquitos Boulevard. Turn right onto the southbound I-15 on-ramp.
Monday Night, November 2 | 9 p.m.- 5 a.m.
- Closed: Eastbound SR-56 connector to northbound I-15.
Motorists may continue on the eastbound SR-56 connector toward southbound I-15. Exit at Rancho Peñasquitos Boulevard/Poway Road. Turn left and head east on Poway Road to take the northbound I-15 on-ramp.
- Closed: Westbound Ted Williams Parkway connector to northbound I-15.
Motorists may exit at Rancho Carmel Drive. Head north on Rancho Carmel Drive to Carmel Mountain Road. Turn left onto Carmel Mountain Road. Continue to the northbound I-15 on-ramp.
Thursday Night, November 5 | 9 p.m.- 5 a.m.
- Closed: Northbound I-15 connector to eastbound SR-56 and Ted Williams Parkway.
Motorists may continue north on I-15 and exit at Carmel Mountain Road. Turn left onto Carmel Mountain Road. Continue to the southbound I-15 on-ramp. Take southbound I-15 to the SR-56/Ted Williams Parkway connector.
- Closed: Northbound I-15 Express Lanes connector to eastbound SR-56 and Ted Williams Parkway.
Motorists may exit the Express Lanes just north of SR-56 and merge into the regular northbound I-15 lanes. Then exit at Carmel Mountain Road, turn left and head west to the southbound I-15 on-ramp, then take the southbound I-15 connector to SR-56/Ted Williams Parkway.
- Closed: Northbound and southbound I-15 Express Lanes exits to the Sabre Springs Parkway direct-access ramp.
Express Lanes motorists should use an earlier exit. Message signs will be posted ahead of the closure.
Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.
