SAN DIEGO — Caltrans will close the southbound Interstate 5 (I-5) connector to eastbound State Route 52 (SR-52) from Sunday, October 4 to Thursday, October 8 each evening from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for guardrail work.
Southbound I-5 motorists will be detoured by using the off-ramp at Clairemont Drive, then turn left onto Clairemont Drive, turn left onto northbound I-5, then use the northbound I-5 connector to eastbound SR-52.
Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.
The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
