SR-163/I-5 Connectors Closed Evenings October 26 to 30

San Diego —   Caltrans will close connectors from Sunday, October 26 to Thursday, October 30 for broadband work. The northbound and southbound Interstate 5 (I-5) connectors to northbound State Route 163 (SR-163) will close in the evenings from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. The southbound SR-163 connector to southbound I-5 will close in the evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Motorists travelling northbound on I-5 may continue north, connect to eastbound I-8, and then connect to SR-163.

Motorists travelling southbound on I-5 may continue south connect to eastbound State Route-94, connect to the northbound State Route-15, connect to northbound Interstate 805, connect to westbound I-8, and then connect to SR-163.

Motorists travelling south on SR-163 headed to the southbound I-5 will be detoured to the 10th Avenue off ramp, continue towards C Street, turn left onto C Street, and then to the southbound I-5 onramp.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
