San Diego —   Caltrans maintenance crews will close the southbound Interstate 5 (I-5) connector to eastbound State Route 94 (SR-94) Thursday, July 17, from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. for the installation of broadband infrastructure.

Southbound I-5 motorists may continue southbound to the 17th Street/Imperial Avenue off-ramp, turn right on Imperial Avenue towards 19th Avenue, turn left on 19th Avenue, and utilize the eastbound SR-94 on ramp.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
