SAN DIEGO — Caltrans contractors will close all lanes of westbound State Route 52 (SR-52) from State Route 163 (SR-163) to Interstate 805 (I-805) on Friday, June 20 at 9 p.m. to Monday, June 23 at 5 a.m. for roadwork.
Westbound SR-52 motorists may take the connector to southbound Interstate 15 (I-15), to westbound I-8, to northbound I-805, to the SR-52 connectors. Westbound SR-52 motorists continuing past I-15 will be diverted onto southbound SR-163.
Portable changeable message signs will be placed along the routes that feed to SR-52 advising of the closure and suggesting alternate routes.
Residents and businesses owners in the area should anticipate construction noise and lighting during the closure.
Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.
The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
