SAN DIEGO — Maintenance crews will close the eastbound and westbound Interstate 8 (I-8) connectors to southbound State Route 163 (SR-163) Thursday from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. to remove temporary concrete barriers.
Motorists from both directions will be detoured to northbound SR-163, to the westbound Friars Road off-ramp. Turn right on Friars Road to the southbound SR-163 on-ramp.
Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.
The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
