SAN DIEGO —Caltrans maintenance crews will close the southbound State Route 163 (SR-163) connector to northbound and southbound Interstate 5 (I-5) Saturday from 3-9 a.m. for guardrail repair.
The detours are as follows:
- Southbound SR-163 to northbound I-5: Continue on southbound SR-163 onto Tenth Avenue and turn left at A Street, turn left onto Eleventh Avenue to northbound SR-163.
- Southbound SR-163 to southbound I-5: Continue on southbound SR-163 onto Tenth Avenue, turn left onto C Street to southbound I-5.
Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.
The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
