SAN DIEGO — Caltrans crews have modified the eastbound Interstate 8 (I-8) work hours at Tavern Road. All eastbound lanes will close at Tavern Road Sunday through Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. for culvert repairs and pavement work. The modified work schedule will assist residents and employees of the area to reach their destination with minimal freeway interruptions. This closure is expected to continue until mid-February.
All motorists will be detoured to the eastbound I-8 Tavern Road off-ramp, then reenter the freeway using the eastbound I-8 Tavern Road on-ramp.
Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.
The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
