SAN DIEGO —Caltrans crews will close the southbound Interstate 5 (I-5) off-ramp to northbound State Route 163 (SR-163) and 10th Avenue downtown on three separate occasions this week for wrong-way driver prevention striping and marker installation. The ramp will close on the following dates and times.
- Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Sunday from 3 a.m. to 11 a.m.
- Sunday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Motorists should exit at the southbound I-5 Front Street off-ramp and turn left on A Street to the northbound SR-163 on-ramp.
Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.
The construction schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other construction-related reasons.
