El Centro, Calif. — Maintenance crews will close the eastbound Interstate 8 (I-8) off-ramp to 4th Avenue Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for bridge inspection.
Motorists may take one of two detours listed below:
- On California Side: exit at Winterhaven Drive and turn left to 4th Avenue
- On Arizona Side: exit at East 16th Street/Route 95, turn left to westbound I-8 to 4th Avenue
Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.
The construction schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other construction-related reasons.
