Complete Streets Improvements on SR-86, SR-111, and SR-115
Project Overview
This is a Complete Streets anchor asset project that proposes improvements on various routes in Imperial County. These project segments are on State Route 86 (SR-86) between Post Mile (PM) L7.308 and 7.550, State Route 111 (SR-111) between PM 32.100 and 33.000, State Route 115 (SR-115) between PM R9.000 and L10.390, and SR-115 between PM 34.480 and 35.227.
Proposed complete streets improvements include fixing existing sidewalks, as well as adding new sidewalks and enhanced visibility crosswalks. Satellite asset improvements include Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) curb ramp upgrades, lighting and traffic signal system upgrades, overhead sign structure rehabilitation, and rectangular rapid flashing beacon system installation. Additional asset improvements include roadside sign panel replacements and guardrail upgrades. The project also proposes additional improvements to the pavement, including micro-surfacing, cold plane, and overlay for the traveled way and shoulders, to preserve and extend the service life of segments on the existing SR-115 roadway.
