SR-79 Shoulder Widening

The Caltrans District 11 State Route 79 (SR-79) Shoulder Widening project aims to improve turning conditions near Lake Henshaw at the SR-79/SR-76 junction, also known as Morettis Junction. This project intends to improve turning conditions through shoulder widening, pavement marking adjustments, guardrail system upgrades, installation of a concrete barrier, and installation of regulatory signs to enhance the safety of the traveling public and maintenance workers.

Project Status and Schedule

This project is in the Project Initiation Document (PID) phase and is currently unfunded. Construction is anticipated to begin in March 2030 and run through November 2033.
