Temporary Pass Closures
Sonora Pass (State Route 108) | Ebbetts Pass (State Route 4) | Monitor Pass (State Route 89)
Tuolumne County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) temporary road closure of State Route 108 (Sonora Pass) remains in place due to ongoing storm conditions. The eastbound closure is set at Kennedy Meadows, and the westbound closure is set at the Marine Corps Training Center. The temporary closure began Wednesday, November 12, at 12:00 p.m. and will extend into next week, when Caltrans maintenance crews will reassess road conditions for motorists.
Calaveras-Alpine Counties – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) temporary road closure of State Route 4 (Ebbetts Pass) remains in place due to ongoing storm conditions. The eastbound closure is set at Lake Alpine, and the westbound closure is set at the Raymond Meadows closure gate. The temporary closure began Wednesday, November 12, at 12:00 p.m. and will extend into next week, when Caltrans maintenance crews will reassess road conditions for motorists.
Alpine County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) temporary closure of State Route 89 (Monitor Pass) remains in place due to ongoing storm conditions. The eastbound closure is set at the State Route 4/89 Junction, and the westbound closure is set at US-395. The temporary closure began Wednesday, November 12, at 1:00 p.m. and will extend into next week, when Caltrans maintenance crews will reassess road conditions for motorists.
