Lane Closures on State Routes 49 and 108
Tuolumne County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct lane closures on State Route 49 (SR-49) and State Route 108 (SR-108) next week. Work is scheduled as follows:
State Route 49
- Full highway closure between Washington Street and Snell Road in Sonora for a special event on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
State Route 108
- Traffic breaks at Lime Kiln Road in Sonora for utility work on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
