Closures on State Routes 99, 132, and Interstate 5
Stanislaus County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct various lane and ramp closures next week on State Route 99 (SR-99), State Route 132 (SR-132), and Interstate 5 (I-5). Work is scheduled to occur as follows:
State Route 99
- Long-term, full closure of the Enoch Christoffersen Rest Areas in Turlock for maintenance work. A reopening date is currently unknown.
- Moving, alternating lane closures on southbound SR-99 between the San Joaquin County line and the Merced County line for pavement marker replacement beginning Monday, October 27, through Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
- Closure of the #3 (right) lane of northbound SR-99 from Crows Landing Road to the Tuolumne River in Modesto for bridge work on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
- Overnight closures of the #2 (center) and #3 (right) lanes of southbound SR-99 from Woodland Avenue to L Street in Modesto for bridge work beginning Sunday, October 26, through Friday, October 31, 2025, from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
- Overnight full closure of the southbound Kansas Avenue onramp in Modesto for bridge work beginning Sunday, October 26, through Friday, October 31, 2025, from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
State Route 132
- Overnight, one-way traffic control at the San Joaquin River for utility work beginning Monday, October 27, through Friday, October 31, 2025, from 8:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m.
Interstate 5
- Long-term, full closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas and the auxiliary lane leading to the southbound rest area exit for construction work.
Note: This project is expected to continue through the spring of 2026.
