Closures on State Routes 99, 132, and Interstate 5
Stanislaus County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various lane and ramp closures next week on State Route 99 (SR-99), State Route 132 (SR-132), and Interstate 5 (I-5). Work is scheduled to occur as follows:
State Route 99
- Moving closures of the #3 (right) lanes between Lander Avenue in Turlock and Briggsmore Avenue/Carpenter Road in Modesto for a sweeping operation beginning Monday, August 11, through Friday, August 15, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
State Route 132
- Overnight, alternating lane closures at La Loma Avenue in Modesto for electrical work beginning Sunday, August 10, through Friday, August 15, 2025, from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
- Overnight, alternating lane closures between K Street and L Street in Modesto for electrical work beginning Sunday, August 10, through Friday, August 15, 2025, from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
Interstate 5
- Overnight, alternating lane closures between Fink Road and Hamilton Road for bridge work beginning Sunday, August 10, through Friday, August 15, 2025, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
- Overnight, full closure of the on-ramp to northbound I-5 from Ingram Creek Road for bridge work beginning Sunday, August 10, through Friday, August 15, 2025, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
- Long-term, full closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas on I-5 and the auxiliary lane leading to the southbound rest area exit for construction work.
Note: This project is expected to continue through the spring of 2026.
Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
