Closures on State Routes 33, 99, 108, 132, and Interstate 5
Stanislaus County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various lane and ramp closures next week on State Route 33 (SR-33), State Route 99 (SR-99), State Route 108 (SR-108), State Route 132 (SR-132), and Interstate 5 (I-5). Work is scheduled to occur as follows:
State Route 33
- One-way traffic control between Inyo Street and Stuhr Road in Newman for a crack seal operation beginning Monday, July 14, through Friday, July 18, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
State Route 99
- Moving closures of the #1 (left) lanes between the Ceres Main Canal and Carpenter Road/Briggsmore Avenue for a sweeping operation beginning Monday, July 14, through Friday, July 18, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
State Route 108
- Overnight traffic breaks between Woodrow Avenue and Sandiford Avenue in Modesto for utility work beginning Monday, July 14, through Friday, July 18, 2025, from 8:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m.
State Route 132
- One-way traffic control at Lake Road for electrical work beginning Monday, July 14, through Friday, July 18, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Interstate 5
- Overnight, alternating lane closures between Fink Road and Hamilton Road for bridge work beginning Sunday, July 13, through Friday, July 18, 2025, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
- Overnight, full closure of the on-ramp to northbound I-5 from Ingram Creek Road for bridge work beginning Sunday, July 13, through Friday, July 18, 2025, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
- Long-term, full closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas on I-5 and the auxiliary lane leading to the southbound rest area exit for construction work.
Note: This project is expected to continue through the spring of 2026.
