Closures on State Routes 99, 132, and Interstate 5
Stanislaus County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various lane and ramp closures next week on State Route 99 (SR-99), State Route 132 (SR-132), and Interstate 5 (I-5). Work is scheduled to occur as follows:
State Route 99
- Full closure of the northbound SR-99 offramp to Ninth Street in Modesto for landscaping work on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Full closure of the onramp to northbound SR-99 from Tuolumne Boulevard in Modesto for landscaping work beginning Tuesday, July 8, through Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
- Full closure of the southbound SR-99 offramp to Tuolumne Boulevard in Modesto for landscape work on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
- Full closure of the northbound SR-99 offramp to Sierra Drive in Modesto for landscape work on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
- Full closure of the onramp to southbound SR-99 from Sixth Street in Modesto for landscaping work on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
State Route 132
- One-way traffic control at Lake Road for electrical work beginning Monday, July 7, through Friday, July 11, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Interstate 5
- Moving, alternating lane closures between the San Joaquin County line and the Merced County line for a sweeping operation beginning Monday, July 7, through Friday, July 11, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
- Overnight, alternating lane closures between Fink Road and Hamilton Road for bridge work beginning Monday, July 7, through Friday, July 11, 2025, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
- Overnight, full closure of the on-ramp to northbound I-5 from Ingram Creek Road for bridge work beginning Monday, July 7, through Friday, July 11, 2025, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
- Long-term, full closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas on I-5 and the auxiliary lane leading to the southbound rest area exit for construction work.
Note: This project is expected to continue through the spring of 2026.
