Closures on State Routes 33, 132, and Interstate 5
Stanislaus County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various lane closures next week on State Route 33 (SR-33), State Route 132 (SR-132), and Interstate 5 (I-5). Work is scheduled to occur as follows:
State Route 33
- One-way traffic control between Stuhr Road and Inyo Street in Newman for a crack seal operation beginning Tuesday, July 1 through Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
State Route 132
- One-way traffic control at Lake Road for electrical work beginning Monday, June 30, through Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Interstate 5
- Overnight, alternating lane closures between Fink Road and Hamilton Road for bridge work beginning Sunday, June 29, through Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
- Overnight, full closure of the on-ramp to northbound I-5 from Ingram Creek Road for bridge work beginning Sunday, June 29, through Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
- Long-term, full closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas on I-5 and the auxiliary lane leading to the southbound rest area exit for construction work.
Note: This project is expected to continue through the spring of 2026.
Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
