Various Closures On Interstate 5 - State Routes 33, 108 & 132
Stanislaus County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on Interstate 5 and State Route 33 (SR-33), SR-108 and SR-132 for maintenance and construction work within Stanislaus County. Work will occur as follows:
Interstate 5
- Long-term, full closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas and the auxiliary lane leading to the southbound rest area exit for construction work.
Note: This project is expected to continue through the spring of 2026.
State Route 33
- One-way traffic control at Ward Avenue for shoulder work beginning Monday, April 13, through Friday, April 17, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
State Route 108
- Long-term sidewalk and right shoulder closure from Oakdale Road to Estelle Avenue for shoulder work through June 11, 2026.
- Long-term right shoulder closure from 8th Street to Mesa Drive for excavation work through April 24, 2026.
State Route 132
- Long-term right shoulder closure from G Street/9th Street to H Street/9th Street for curb/sidewalk work through May 29, 2026.
Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
