Various Closures On Interstate 5 - State Routes 99, 108 & 120
Stanislaus County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on Interstate 5 and State Route 99 (SR-99), SR-108 and SR-120 for maintenance and construction work within Stanislaus County. Work will occur as follows:
Interstate 5
- Long-term, full closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas and the auxiliary lane leading to the southbound rest area exit for construction work.
Note: This project is expected to continue through the spring of 2026.
State Route 99
- Long-term full on-ramp closure from 4th Street/El Camino Avenue to northbound SR-99 for culvert repairs. El Camino Avenue will be closed between 4th Street and Lawrence Street. DETOUR: Use 4th Street and Lawrence Street around the closure.
- Overnight, full off-ramp closures from northbound SR-99 at Tuolumne Boulevard for electrical work beginning Monday, April 6, through Friday, April 10, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
State Route 108
- Long-term right shoulder closure from 8th Street to Mesa Drive for excavation work through April 24, 2026.
- Full highway closure from Oak Avenue to SR-120/Yosemite Avenue for a special event on Saturday, April 11, from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
State Route 120
- Full highway closure from SR-108/Oakdale to Maag Avenue for a special event on Saturday, April 11, from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
