HIGHWAY RAMPS AND LANE CLOSURES
STATE ROUTES 99 & 165
Merced County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on State Route 99 (SR-99) and SR-165 for maintenance and construction operations. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:
State Route 99
- One-way traffic control on SR-99 at East Atwater Overcrossing for utility work beginning Monday October 19, through Friday, October 23, 2026, for utility work from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
State Route 165
- • One way traffic control on Hwy 165 and Miller Ave for utility work on Tuesday, October 20, to Friday Oct 23, 20206, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
