Lane & Ramp Closures on State Routes 99 & 165

Merced County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have traffic controls in place for the following construction and maintenance activities on State Route 99, (SR-99) and SR-165 in Merced County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 99

• • Overnight full on-ramp closure on southbound SR-99 at Mission Ave over-crossing for striping operation on Sunday, August 2 through Friday August 7, 2026, from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am.

     

  • Overnight full on and off ramps closure on northbound and southbound SR-99 and SR-59/MLK Jr Way for striping operation on Sunday, August 2 through Friday August 7, 2026, from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am.

     

  • Overnight full on and off ramp closure for southbound SR-99 at 16^th St under-crossing for striping operations on Sunday, August 2 through Friday August 7, 2026, from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am.

     

  • Full on ramp closure on the East Atwater over-crossing on SR-99 northbound for tree work on Monday, August 3, to Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 6:30 am to 2:00 pm.

     

  • One way traffic control on local cross-street at the East Atwater over-crossing for utility work on Sunday, August 2, to Friday, August 7, 2026, from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am.

     

  • Overnight full on-ramp closure on southbound SR-99 at the Collier Road Under-Crossing for striping operation beginning Sunday, August 2, through Friday, August 7, 2026, from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am.

     

  • Overnight full on and off-ramp closures on northbound SR-99 at the Shanks Road Over-Crossing for striping beginning Sunday, August 2, to Friday, August 7, 2026, from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am.

     

  • Full on ramp closure on northbound SR-99 at Bradbury Rd over-crossing for striping operation beginning Sunday, August 2, to Friday, August 7, 2026, from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am.

     

  • Full off ramp closure on southbound SR-99 at Bradbury Rd over-crossing for striping operation beginning Sunday, August 2, to Friday, August 7, 2026, from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am.

     

  • Full off ramp closure on northbound SR-99 at South Turlock overcrossing/ Golden State Blvd for striping operation beginning Sunday, August 2, to Friday, August 7, 2026, from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am.

   

   

  State Route 165

   

  • One way traffic control on northbound and southbound SR-99 at Willmott Rd for utility work beginning Thursday, August 6 to Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am.
    
    
  • Overnight one-way traffic control on Geer Ave for traffic signal work beginning Monday, August 3 through Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
