Lane & Ramp Closures on State Route 99
Merced County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have traffic controls in place for the following construction and maintenance activities on State Routes 99 (SR-99) in Merced County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:
State Route 99
- One-way surface street traffic control on the East Atwater Over-Crossing for utility work beginning Monday, June 29, through Friday, July 2, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Full on-ramp closure on southbound SR-99 at Winton Parkway Over-Crossing for landscape work beginning on Tuesday, June 30, through Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Full off-ramp closure on southbound SR-99 at Winton Parkway Over-Crossing for landscape work on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
