Traffic Advisory Calaveras County 10/26/26

One-Way Traffic Control and Full Highway Closure Next Week

Calaveras County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have traffic controls in place for the following construction and maintenance activities on State Route 4 (SR-4), SR-12, SR-26, and SR-49 in Calaveras County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 4

  • Conventional highway lane closure from Allen Lane to Tanner Lane for utility work on Monday, October 26, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

State Route 26

  • Long-term full highway closure at the West Side of SR-26/49 Intersection from Main Street to SR-49 for highway construction work beginning Monday, August 24, at 7:00 a.m. through Monday, November 9, 2026, at 7:00 a.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Prindle Road to Church Street for utility work beginning Monday, October 26, through Friday, October 30, 2026, nightly from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Higdon Road to the North Fork Mokelumne River Bridge for drainage work beginning Monday, October 26, through Friday, October 30, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control at Lower Dorray Road for tree work beginning Tuesday, October 27, through Wednesday, October 28, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Andrew Lane to Main Street for tree work on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

State Route 49

  • One-way traffic control from High School Street to George Reed Inc. entrance for tree work beginning Tuesday, October 27, through Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Stockton Hill Road to Poverty Gulch Court for tree work beginning Tuesday, October 27, through Thursday, October 28, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
