One-Way Traffic Control Next Week
Calaveras County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control next week on State Route 4 (SR-4) and SR-26 for maintenance and construction operations. Work is scheduled as follows:
State Route 4
- One-way traffic control from Bonanza Mine Way to Appaloosa Road for highway construction work beginning Monday, September 8, 2025, through Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., and on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control from Vallecito Bypass Road to Parrots Ferry Road for utility work beginning Sunday, September 7, 2025, through Monday, September 8, 2025, from 9 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
- One-way traffic control from Mitchler Avenue to Big Trees Road/Tom Bell Road for median work beginning Monday, September 8, 2025, through Friday, September 12, 2025, from 7 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
State Route 26
- Long-term, one-way traffic control from Gill Haven Drive to Rich Gulch Lane for highway construction work through Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
- One-way traffic control at South Fork Mokelumne River Bridge for construction work beginning Monday, September 8, 2025, through Friday, September 12, 2025, from 6:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
