One-Way Traffic Controls Next Week

Calaveras County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have traffic controls in place for the following construction and maintenance activities on State Route 4 (SR-4), SR-12, SR-26, & SR-49 in Calaveras County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 4

  • Conventional lane closure at Little Johns Creek for bridge work beginning Monday, July 20, through Friday, July 24, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Batten Road to Allen Lane for tree work on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

State Route 12

  • Overnight one-way traffic control from Sierra Rose Ranch to the Whelisma Railroad Crossing for drainage work beginning Monday, July 20, through Tuesday, July 22, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • Overnight one-way traffic control from Helisma Upper to Pine Street for drainage work beginning Tuesday, July 21, through Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • Overnight one-way traffic control from Sierra Rose Ranch to Pine Street for drainage work beginning Wednesday, July 22, through Friday, July 24, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

State Route 26

  • Conventional lane closure at Stone Corral Creek for bridge work beginning Monday, July 20, through Friday, July 24, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Wood House Mine Road to Niderost Lane for tree work beginning Tuesday, July 21, through Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control at Iris Way for tree work on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

State Route 49

  • Highway shoulder closure from South Bret Harte to Copello Drive for pavement work beginning Monday, July 20, through Friday, July 24, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control at the Carson Hill Rest Area for tree work on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Calaveritas Creek to Old Woman Gulch for tree work on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
