One-Way Traffic Control Next Week
Amador County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have one-way traffic controls for construction and maintenance work on State Route 88 (SR-88) in Amador County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:
State Route 88
- Long-term, one-way traffic control between Carson Drive and approximately 300 feet east of Carson Drive for slope repair through Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
- One-way traffic control between the 6,000-foot elevation mark and Bear River Road for drainage work beginning Monday, September 14, through Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control at West Martin Meadow for utility work on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control between Dew Drop Road West and Dew Drop Road East for electrical work beginning Monday, September 14, through Friday, September 18, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control at Peddler Hill Maintenance Station for electrical work beginning Monday, September 14, through Friday, September 18, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
