Traffic Control Next Week on State Routes 88
Alpine County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform the following highway lane closures on State Route 88 (SR-88) for construction and maintenance work next week within Alpine County. Work will occur as follows:
State Route 88
- Conventional highway lane closure from Woods Lake Road to Meiss Meadows entrance for drainage work beginning Monday, September 28, through Friday, October 2, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
