One-Way Traffic Control Next Week
Alpine County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following traffic controls on State Route 88 (SR-88) and SR-89 in Alpine County. Work is scheduled as follows:
State Route 88
- One-way traffic control from the Carson River West Fork Bridge to East Crystal Springs for road maintenance work on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
State Route 89
- One-way traffic control from SR-88/89 Picketts Junction to the Alpine/El Dorado County Line for utility work beginning Monday, August 4, through Thursday, August 7, from 6:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., and on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
