Lane Closures Next Week
Alpine County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic controls next week on State Route 4 (SR-4). Work is scheduled as follows:
State Route 4
- Conventional lane closure at the Ranger Station for potholing work on Monday, July 7, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Conventional lane closure from the Alpine Lake Closure Gate to Jackass Gulch Bridge for potholing on Monday, July 7, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
