Alternating Lane Closures on State Route 88
Alpine County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform the following highway closures on State Route 88 (SR-88) for construction and maintenance work next week within Alpine County. Work will occur as follows:
State Route 88
- Alternating lane closures from Mormon Emigrant Trail to the California/Nevada State line for striping work beginning Monday, June 15, through Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Alternating lane closures from Kirkwood Meadows Drive to Woodfords for survey work beginning Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 19, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Alternating lane closures from the Alpine/Mono County line to Woodfords for survey work beginning Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 19, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
