One-Way Traffic Control Next Week
Alpine County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have traffic controls in place to perform construction and maintenance activities on State Routes 88 (SR-88) in Alpine County next week.

- One-way traffic control from Schneidr Road to the beginning of the passing lane for electrical work beginning Monday, May 18, through Friday, May 22, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control at the Nevada/California State Line for electrical work beginning Monday, May 18, through Friday, May 22, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
