Early Morning Closures For Overhead Sign Installations In Stockton – August 23 & 30, 2026

San Joaquin County – The California Department Of Transportation (Caltrans) Will Soon Perform Various Closures On State Route 99 (Sr-99) And Sr-4/Crosstown Freeway For The Installation Of New Overhead Guide Signs In Stockton. Work Will Occur As Follows:

Second Phase of the State Route 26/49 Intersection Improvement Public Notice

Sunday, August 23, 2026 – 6:00 A.M. – 10:00 A.M.

Northbound Sr-99 Will Be Reduced From Three Lanes To One Lane On The Main Line Between Sr-26/Fremont Street And Sr-88/Waterloo Road.

Additionally, The Connector Ramp From Eastbound Sr-4/Crosstown Freeway To Northbound Sr-99 Will Also Be Closed.

Detour: Eastbound Sr-4 To Southbound Sr-99, Exit At Golden Gate Avenue, And Return To Northbound Sr-99.

Sunday, August 30, 2026 – 5:30 A.M. – 10:00 A.M.

All Lanes Of Northbound Sr-99 Will Be Closed At Sr-26/Fremont Street.

Detour: Motorists Will Exit Northbound Sr-99 At Sr-26/Fremont Street And Use The Sr-26/Fremont Street On-Ramp To Return To Northbound Sr-99.

All Work Is Scheduled To Begin As Listed, But Is Subject To Change Due To Traffic Incidents, Weather, Availability Of Equipment, And/Or Materials And Construction Related Issues.
