    Inquiry #3: Due to bidding conflicts with other Caltrans projects that are bidding on the same date(10/23/12) we request the postponement of the bid opening date of this project by 1 week. If for some reason a 1 week postponement is difficult for Caltrans a postponement by 2-3 days will also suffice.

    Inquiry #6: Reference sheet 199/301. A) What is the Anchor Bolt/Threaded Rod Diameter for the Deck Hinge Restrainer and Angle Bracket? B) What is the thickness of the Deck Form Bulkhead Plate? C)Section T-T,Does the Deck Form Bulkhead Plate go from the end of the restrainer to the Hinge Diaphragm following the contour of the Corrugated steel deck form, and is this for just the Alternative Deck Form Configurations or does it apply to all configurations (Section V-V)?

    Inquiry #7: Plane sheet 202 shows a deck thickness of 8-7/8” with #6 rebar at S=11”. This is consistent +- with Memo to Designers table 10-20.1(a) for the span of 11-4”. It appears from scaling that the thickness of the continuous deck forms detailed is about 2”. At this time I have not been able to confirm the 2” thickness with the metal deck suppliers. How thick can the forms be before the deck is too thin to work or the rebar pattern shown in Sec E-E on page 209 has to be changed?

      As-built drawings may not show existing dimensions and conditions. Where new construction dimensions are dependent on existing bridge dimensions, verify the field dimensions and adjust dimensions of the work to fit existing conditions.
