Michael Campos

Michael Campos

Michael Campos is Caltrans’ new Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program Manager.

Since joining Caltrans Division of Engineering Services (DES) in 2008 as chief of the Technical Publications and Graphics Services Branch, he has taken on additional responsibilities and roles including the EEO liaison for DES, working with both employees and management in EEO-related matters. In his most recent role as the acting chief of the Office of Administrative Services, he oversaw the Human Resources, Workforce Development and Technical Publications & Graphics Services Branches.

In nearly 28 years of state service, both as an analyst and supervisor, his career path has run the gamut of policy development, legislation, regulations and code development, budgets, personnel and other key administrative areas. Working at both large and small state agencies has, in Michael’s words, given him that “broad swath” of experience that he knows will assist him in his new appointment.

Michael is a graduate of California State University, Sacramento with a government/journalism degree. He is also a member of the State Bar of California. He began his career in public service while still in college, serving as a student intern for then-Councilman Joe Serna, and later interning with both the California State Legislature and California Energy Commission.
