Project Facts


This is a Bridge Maintenance Project located in El Dorado, Nevada and Placer counties that will remove asphalt concrete, place concrete and polyester concrete overlay, and place methacrylate on bridge decks, replace approach slabs and bridge joint seals.

Project Benefits

Purpose: To deliver timely intermediate maintenance actions to prevent or delay the need for major rehabilitation on structures that have identified distress.

Need: The bridge deck and joints are distressed and need repair or replacement.

Funding Breakdown

The Project Approval and Environmental Document (PA&ED) work and the Design support components are being funded from the State Highway’s Major Maintenance Program. The Construction Support and Capital expenses are funded from the SB1 Program.

Support Cost: $300,000
Capital Cost: $3,073,770
Total Project Cost: $3,373,770

Design Completed -- January 18, 2018
Advertise Project -- February 20, 2018
Begin Construction -- July 1, 2018
Expected Completion -- Spring 2019
